Can I use regular essential oils in my hot tub?

No — straight essential oils are oil-based and will coat your jets, plug your filter, and throw off your sanitizer. Always use spa-formulated aromatherapy products designed to dissolve in treated water.

How much aromatherapy do I add per soak?

Follow the label, but most crystals call for one to two tablespoons per use and most liquids call for a capful. Start light — you can always add more.

Will aromatherapy damage my filter or cover?

Spa-safe aromatherapy products are formulated not to. Cheap or DIY substitutes will. Stick to spa-rated crystals and liquids and you're fine.

Does aromatherapy affect water chemistry?

Minimally. You may notice a slight sanitizer demand bump after heavy use — test as normal and dose if needed.
