Fuse 10A

The 10A Fuse is a 10-amp fuse for Gecko-built spa motherboards. It protects the air blower circuit — the higher-current accessory that drives the bubbles you can dial in across all the air-injection points in the spa.

What it means when this fuse blows: Your spa air blower stops working entirely. Jets and heating continue to work normally because they're on different circuits. You'll notice the blower is dead the next time you push the dedicated blower button on the topside controller. The fuse blows because the blower motor windings shorted internally (the most common cause as blowers age past 8-10 years), or because moisture in the blower wiring or housing created a path to ground.

How to replace it: Always turn off the spa's breaker at the house panel first — never replace a fuse with the spa powered up. Open the equipment access panel, locate the Gecko motherboard, and find the marked blower fuse holder (often labelled "BLOW" or with the higher amperage rating). Pull the old fuse, confirm it blew, and snap in a fresh 10A. Restore power and test.

When to call for service: If the new fuse blows immediately, your blower motor is shorted and needs to be replaced — not just the fuse. Continuing to feed fuses into a shorted blower will eventually damage the motherboard itself. Bring the old fuse to any of our three Ontario showrooms for matching if you're unsure.
