The 20A Fuse is a 20-amp fuse used for accessories on Arctic Spas motherboards — typically protecting circuits like the salt water cell power feed, secondary jet pumps, or other higher-current accessory loads depending on your specific spa configuration.
What it means when this fuse blows: The accessory it protects stops working. Diagnosing exactly which circuit is on this fuse depends on which spa you have and which board configuration — the fuse holder is labelled on the motherboard, and the symptoms are tied to whatever that circuit drives. Common scenarios: salt cell stops generating chlorine, secondary jet pump won't start, certain accessory loads go dead while everything else runs normally. The fuse blows because the downstream component shorted internally, moisture got into a wiring harness, or a voltage spike from the line caused a one-time blow that won't repeat.
How to replace it: Always turn off the spa's breaker at the house panel first. Open the equipment access panel, locate the motherboard, find the marked 20A fuse holder, pull the old fuse, confirm it blew, and snap in a fresh 20A. Restore power.
When to call for service: If the new fuse blows immediately or within minutes, the downstream component (salt cell, accessory pump, etc.) is shorted and needs replacement — not just the fuse. Bring the old fuse to any of our three Ontario showrooms for matching if you're unsure.
