The 3A Fuse is a 3-amp fuse for Global-built spa motherboards. It protects the LED lighting circuit — the perimeter pucks under the spa's lip, the main interior bowl light, and any cabinet accent lights routed through the board.

What it means when this fuse blows: Your spa lights stop working entirely — perimeter, interior, the lot. The rest of the spa still runs normally because heating, pumping, and control are all on different circuits. The fuse blows because one of the LED pucks has shorted internally (water intrusion is the most common cause), a wire chafed through to ground inside the cabinet, or a moisture-damaged connector created a short to chassis.

How to replace it: Turn off the spa's breaker at the house panel first — never replace a fuse with the spa powered up. Open the equipment access panel, locate the Global motherboard, and find the marked light fuse holder (often labelled "LIGHT" or "LED"). Pull the old fuse, inspect for the broken filament, and snap in a fresh 3A. Restore power and test.

When to call for service: If the replacement blows immediately or within a few minutes of restoring power, you have a shorted light component. Don't keep replacing the fuse — you'll need a technician to test each LED puck and connection in turn until the bad one is found. If your spa uses a Gecko motherboard instead of Global, you'll need a different fuse — bring the old one to any of our three Ontario showrooms for matching.
