Onzen Generator (not for use with current limiter)

The Onzen Generator (not for use with current limiter) is the replacement Onzen salt water generator unit for older Arctic Spas equipped with the original Onzen sanitization platform. The generator is the controller that talks to the salt cell and decides when to fire the cell to maintain chlorine production.

Important: This particular generator is not compatible with installations that use the current limiter accessory. If your installation includes a current limiter, this is not the right replacement — contact one of our three Ontario showrooms for the correct configuration before ordering.

When you'll need to replace it: Replace when the Onzen controller no longer powers on, throws unrecoverable errors, or when the salt cell is healthy but the system still won't generate chlorine. Generators eventually fail from age, water intrusion, or lightning damage.

Will this fit my spa? Yes, on older Arctic Spas equipped with the original Onzen platform (no current limiter accessory). Onzen-platform spas have largely been superseded by Spa Boy generations — if you're considering a major investment in repairing an older Onzen system, it's worth a conversation about updating to current Spa Boy hardware at the same time.
