Lippert Grate 1.5" Threaded Black (CMP) | For 2020+ Spaboy

The 1.5" Threaded Lippert Grate (Black, CMP) is the replacement grate fitting for the Spaboy salt cell housing on 2020+ Arctic Spas. The grate sits in place of the plug when the salt cell is active — it allows water flow into the housing for sanitization while keeping debris and fingers out.

When you'll need a new grate: Replace when the existing grate is cracked, the threads have stripped, or the grate slats have broken (allowing larger debris into the housing). The grate is the most-handled fitting on the salt cell housing because it comes off and back on every time you replace the cell, so wear is faster than other plumbing fittings.

Will this fit my spa? Yes, on 2020+ Arctic Spas with the Spaboy salt cell housing using the 1.5" Lippert (CMP) thread standard. If your spa is pre-2020, you need the 2" Threaded Lippert Grate (Pre-2020) instead. The matching plug (used during winterization or service) is the 1.5" Threaded Lippert Plug (CMP). Bring the old grate to one of our three Ontario showrooms for matching if you're not sure.

How to install: Drain the spa below the housing port. Unscrew the existing grate, clean the seating threads, apply Teflon tape to the new grate threads, and hand-tighten — never use a wrench on a plastic spa fitting.
