Lippert Plug 1.5" Threaded Lippert Black (CMP) | For 2020+ Spaboy

The 1.5" Threaded Lippert Plug (Black, CMP) is a replacement plug fitting for the Spaboy salt cell housing on 2020+ Arctic Spas. The plug seals the housing port when the salt cell isn't installed, when the spa is being winterized, or when you're testing system pressure during a service call.

When you'll need a new plug: Replace when the existing plug is cracked, the threads have stripped, or the seal at the base is leaking. Plugs are cheap insurance against a $200 service call to find a slow drip behind the cabinet panel.

Will this fit my spa? Yes, on 2020+ Arctic Spas with the Spaboy salt cell housing using the 1.5" Lippert (CMP) thread standard. If your spa is pre-2020, you need the 2" ABS Threaded Plug (Pre-2020 Spaboy) instead. The matching grate (used in place of the plug when the salt cell is active) is the 1.5" Threaded Lippert Grate (CMP). Bring the old plug to one of our three Ontario showrooms for matching if you're not sure.

How to install: Drain the spa below the housing port. Unscrew the existing plug, clean the seating threads, apply Teflon tape to the new plug threads, and hand-tighten into place — never use a wrench on a plastic spa fitting.
