AquaChek Sodium Bromide Test Strips

AquaChek Sodium Bromide strips measure the sodium bromide salt level in hot tubs running bromine-based salt generators — Onzen in bromine configuration, Genesis, Gecko in.clear and similar systems.

Why this strip and not the white one: bromine salt systems run on sodium bromide; chlorine salt systems (Spa Boy, standard Onzen) run on sodium chloride. They're different salts at different target levels, and each needs its own strip — this one for bromide, AquaChek White for chloride. If you're not sure which system you have, the salt bucket you've been buying answers it.

When to test: after a fresh fill once the salt has fully dissolved, before any top-up, and whenever the generator's own reading looks suspicious — strips read the actual water, displays read a sensor.
