AquaChek White Salt Strip

AquaChek White salt strips read the sodium chloride (salt) level in your hot tub water — the independent check every Onzen and Spa Boy owner should run before pouring in more salt.

Why test instead of trusting the display: your salt system's own salinity reading can drift — a scaled cell, a cold spa, or a sensor at end-of-life will all lie to you. A test strip reads the actual water. If the strip and the system disagree, clean the cell with Salt Cell Cleaner before believing either number.

When to test: at every fresh fill after the salt has fully circulated, before any salt top-up, and whenever the system flags low salt unexpectedly (splash-out and draining remove salt; evaporation doesn't — a sudden "low salt" reading usually means something else).
