Cover Lifter Hydraulic Assist

The Hydraulic Assist Cover Lifter is the premium cover-lift solution for Arctic Spas — and most other freestanding hot tubs. It mounts to the spa cabinet and uses two hydraulic cylinders (like SUV tailgate struts) to take the weight out of lifting your cover, turning a two-handed wrestling match into a smooth one-handed motion.

Why a hydraulic lifter is worth the upgrade: A 7-foot or 8-foot insulated spa cover weighs 50-90 lb when dry — and considerably more after a snowfall or a rainstorm. Without a lifter, you're hoisting that weight every single time you use the spa, which is the #1 reason covers get folded incorrectly, dropped, and damaged. With hydraulic assist, the cylinders carry the weight through the lift arc; you just guide the cover. Daily use becomes effortless and your cover lasts years longer.

Will this fit my spa? Yes, if you have a freestanding Arctic Spa with a traditional cabinet (room behind and beside the spa for the lifter brackets to mount to the cabinet panels). For built-in spas where the cabinet sits flush with a deck, you'll want the matching Deck Mount Bracket Kit instead — it converts this lifter to a deck-mounted install. If your spa is tight against a wall or fence with less than 6" of rear clearance, look at the Cover Lifter Rock-It under-mount style instead.

Lifespan and maintenance: The hydraulic cylinders typically last 5-10 years before they soften and stop holding the cover up cleanly. When that happens, replace just the cylinders — the brackets and arms are good for the life of the spa. Replacement cylinders are sold separately.

• Install with two people — the lifter assembly is awkward to align solo
• Don't leave the cover open and unattended on a windy day; even with hydraulic assist, a gust can push it past its travel limit
