Onzen Salt Cell Housing w/Niche Black

The Onzen Salt Cell Housing with Niche (Black) is the replacement housing assembly that holds the Onzen 3-plate salt cell in place inside the spa plumbing. Includes both the housing body and the niche — the recessed mounting fitting that integrates with the spa shell. Black colour matches the standard interior trim on most Arctic Spas with Onzen.

When you'll need a new housing: Salt cell housings outlast the cells themselves by years, but eventually they fail — cracks at the threaded connection (often from over-tightening at cell change time), discolouration progressing to brittleness, or the niche seal weeping water back into the cabinet. If you've replaced the cell and a fresh O-ring and the leak persists, the housing itself is the next part to suspect.

Important: Salt cell housing replacement requires draining the spa below the housing, removing the old housing from the inside of the shell, and re-sealing the new one. Most owners book a service tech because a re-seal that leaks back into the cabinet is expensive to discover six months later.
