Pump 4HP LX 1-Speed (Aquaflo Replacement)

The 4HP LX 1-Speed Pump is a single-speed replacement main jet pump for Arctic Spas — a direct functional replacement for the older single-speed Aquaflo pump on spas that don't need the two-speed circulation feature. 4 horsepower output, simpler control — it's either fully on or fully off.

When this pump is the right replacement: If your existing pump is a single-speed Aquaflo (one wire feed, no separate low-speed circulation winding), this LX pump replaces it directly. Spas that pair a dedicated circulation pump with single-speed jet pumps are the typical use case — the circ pump handles the constant flow during heating cycles and the jet pump only fires when you push the button for jets. If your spa uses a two-speed pump for both jets and circulation, you need the 3HP Aquaflo XP2e 2-Speed instead.

When you'll need a new pump: Spa pumps typically last 5-7 years of daily use. Symptoms of pump failure include grinding or whining sounds, water dripping from the pump shaft seal, the pump tripping the GFCI repeatedly, or the pump not starting at all. A fuse that blows immediately after replacement points to the pump itself, not the fuse.

Important: Pump installation involves 240V wiring and live plumbing. Most spa owners book a service tech for this. Replace the union gaskets (2" Pump Union O-ring) at the same time and confirm the GFCI holds before signing off the install.
