SpaBoy Generator (pre-2020)

The SpaBoy Generator (pre-2020) is the replacement SpaBoy controller for older Arctic Spas equipped with the pre-2020 Spa Boy hardware. The generator talks to the salt cell, reads the ORP/PH probe, and decides when to fire the cell to maintain sanitizer levels.

When you'll need to replace it: Replace when the SpaBoy controller is throwing repeat error codes that don't clear with a fresh ORP/PH probe, when the controller no longer powers on, or when the salt cell is healthy and the probe tests good but the system still won't generate chlorine. Generators eventually fail from age, water intrusion, or lightning damage.

Will this fit my spa? Yes, on Arctic Spas built before 2020 with the pre-2020 SpaBoy hardware. If your spa is 2020 or later with a Linux-compatible motherboard, you need the Spa Boy Generator (2020 to Current, Linux Compatible) instead. Important: Generator replacement involves opening the equipment bay, disconnecting the existing generator's cables, and commissioning the new unit through the SpaBoy controller setup.
