Cover Lifter Cabinet Free Rest

The Cover Lifter Cabinet Free Rest is a cover lifter designed for spas that don't have exposed cabinet sides to mount to — typically built-in or partially decked installations where the spa shell sits flush with surrounding decking and there's no spa cabinet for a traditional lifter's brackets to grab onto.

How it works: Instead of mounting to the spa cabinet, the Cabinet Free Rest sits on a horizontal surface behind the spa (deck, paving stones, a low retaining wall, etc.) and provides a freestanding pivot for the cover. The cover folds in half, rocks back over the lifter, and rests vertically until you pull it back over. No drilling into the spa, no brackets fighting your decking.

Will this fit my spa? Yes, if you have a built-in or decked spa installation where the spa cabinet sides are inaccessible or non-existent. You'll need a flat, stable surface behind the spa with at least 24" of depth for the lifter footprint and the cover's resting position. Not the right pick for traditional freestanding spas with exposed cabinets — those are better served by the cabinet-mount Cover Lifter Cabinet Mount or the premium Hydraulic Assist Cover Lifter.

Quick tips:

• Position the lifter on a level, stable base — wobbly footing makes the lift feel sketchier than it is
• Anchor the rest into the deck or pavers if your spa is in a windy spot; an unweighted Cabinet Free Rest can shift
