Pleated Filter 50' (Thread-In)

The Pleated Filter 50' (Thread-In) is a 50 sq ft cleanable cartridge filter for Arctic Spas built in 2009 or later. It threads directly into the ArcticSpas-logo filter intake — the same opening that takes the Silver Sentinel disposable filter — and gives you a reusable, washable alternative.

Why choose pleated over disposable: A pleated filter is rinsed clean and re-installed instead of being recycled every three months. If you're on well water — which often carries iron, manganese, or higher dissolved solids than municipal water — a pleated filter pays back faster because you can deep-clean it as often as needed without buying a new cartridge. It's also the better choice if you simply prefer cleaning a filter to replacing one.

Will this fit my spa? Yes, if your Arctic Spa is a 2009 or newer model with the threaded ArcticSpas-logo filter intake. If you have a pre-2009 Arctic or Coyote spa with a "floating weir" drop-in filter (no Arctic Spas logo), you need the Pleated Filter 50' Drop-In or the Silver Sentinel Drop-In instead. How to clean it: Rinse the pleats top to bottom with a garden hose every 2-4 weeks. Once a quarter, soak the filter overnight in a filter-cleaning solution like Aqua Finesse Filter Cleaner, then rinse thoroughly. A well-maintained pleated filter typically lasts 12-18 months before the pleats break down and you need a fresh cartridge.

• Keep a spare on hand and rotate — soak one while the other runs
• Never use a pressure washer; it shreds the pleats
• If your filter is collapsing or the pleats have gone permanently grey, it's time to replace it
