Waterway 4HP 2-Speed Spa Pump (PAK-213050)

The Waterway 4HP 2-Speed Pump (PAK-213050) is a replacement main jet pump for Arctic Spas. It is a direct interchange for the Aqua-Flo XP2e 3HP 2-Speed Spa Pump (PAK-113050): it fits the same spas, does the same job, and is priced the same. If the Aqua-Flo is on back order, this is the pump to order.

Interchangeable with the Aqua-Flo XP2e 3HP 2-Speed: Both are two-speed main jet pumps run by the spa's onboard controller: low speed for circulation and filtration, high speed for the jets. The Arctic Spas factory parts list shows the Aqua-Flo XP2e superseding the Waterway 4HP 2-speed, so either pump can replace the other.

When you'll need a new pump: Spa pumps typically last 5-7 years of daily residential use before the bearings, seal, or motor windings fail. Symptoms include grinding or whining sounds during operation, water dripping from the pump shaft seal, the pump tripping the GFCI repeatedly, or the pump not starting on either speed. If you've replaced a fuse and it blew again immediately, the pump is the underlying problem — the fuse just gave up first.

Will this fit my spa? If your spa has a 2-speed Aqua-Flo XP2e or a 2-speed Waterway main pump, yes. Important: Pump installation involves 240V wiring and plumbing under load. Most spa owners book a service tech rather than doing it themselves. If you're an experienced electrical DIYer, drain the spa below the pump first, replace the union gaskets at the same time (2-Inch Pump Union O-Ring), and confirm the GFCI holds before declaring the job done.
